People, water, land, air, and living things connect in our neighborhoods and in lands far away, too! Investigations close to home will catapult kids into choosing to plan a real trip or an imaginary one. Next, we’ll utilize the engineering design process for planning that trip as we practice map skills, money management, and green leadership. Close to home and across the globe, we’ll learn about biodiversity, geology, social and ecological systems. Students lead their interdisciplinary Kid Trip adventure while collaborating with classmates virtually and diving into hands-on activities with guidance and research topics provided by the teacher. Be sure to pack your wanderlust for this environmental STEM learning adventure!

For Students In Grades 1 – 4
MITY’s online learning program for talented younger students features inquiry-based classes covering a range of high interest topics. Students are grouped by age (1st/2nd and 3rd/4th) to ensure the appropriate level of challenge. Each class contains four synchronous learning sessions, hands-on activities and ways to extend learning at home. In addition, one week of each session is used exclusively for social emotional development and fun community building activities.
