Program Assistant (Hybrid)

MITY is seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) assistant to support its academic enrichment programs. The Program Assistant, working under the direction of the Executive Director and Program Administrator, will assist with processing applications, updating databases, communicating with families and staff both in person and via email, updating MITY laptops, organizing and transporting supplies, preparing program materials, providing on-site support, and other duties as assigned.  Applicants should have strong organizational and technology skills, be a self-starter and detail-oriented, and be able to work both on-site and remotely. Teachers

MITY is seeking high-quality educators for its Saturday and summer programs.  Candidates must have experience working with gifted or advanced students, be open to and supportive of all forms of diversity and enjoy working with young people.  Applicants should be strong communicators, creative and able to work independently.

Teaching Assistants

MITY is seeking TAs for its Saturday morning elementary program. Your Extraordinary Saturday (YES) takes place on 3 consecutive Saturday mornings in the fall, winter and spring; TAs may work one, two or all three sessions but must be able to work from 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM all three Saturdays within a session. The 2026-2027 dates and locations are as follows:

  • Fall Session: November 7, 14 and 21, 2026 at Twin Cities German Immersion School in St. Paul
  • Winter Session: January 23, 30 and February 6 at Twin Cities German Immersion School in St. Paul
  • Spring Session: April 17, 24 and May 1 at Breck School in Golden Valley

Teaching Assistants help with set-up and clean-up in addition to working in classrooms. The ideal candidate is outgoing, responsible and has experience working with children. College students and early career teachers are encouraged to apply; high school students must be in their junior or senior year to apply.

Compensation: $16.50 per hour. This is a non-benefited position.
