Have you ever seen a show without knowing the script or story beforehand?  How about a show where the actors didn’t know them either?  In Operation: Improv, students will immerse themselves in the random and often hilarious world of improvised theater.  They will develop the tools needed to confidently take the stage and act out an entire story using nothing but their imaginations.  Students will also gain an intimate knowledge of the building blocks of improvised theater, from objective and tactic to the iconic “yes, and?”  The class will culminate in a final sharing grab-bag of outlandish improv games!

About Your Extraordinary Saturday (YES)

For 1st – 4th Grade Students

A New Adventure Every Weekend

MITY's program for elementary students enables inquisitive, high achieving 1st - 4th grade students to continue learning outside of the traditional classroom.  Courses are intentionally designed to inspire inquiry, activate imaginations, and engage eager learners in hands on discovery that is not possible within a regular classroom setting.  While students are in class, parents are invited to listen to professional speakers on topics related to raising bright children, socialize with other parents, or visit a local coffee shop.
