Online ExplorSchool Financial Information
MITY believes that all eager learners should have the opportunity to expand their knowledge, pursue new interests and collaborate with diverse peers, and hence works hard to keep programs affordable for families. We also offer financial assistance to students who qualify for free or reduced lunch. If a student is not accepted into the program, the family will receive a full refund of all monies paid.

Tuition: $300 per class
Fees: Some classes also require a small materials fee as noted in the course description.
Financial Aid
There is limited financial aid available for students applying to MITY’s programs.
For Fall, Winter, Spring Sessions: Complete this Financial Aid Form. You will need to include a copy of the free/reduced lunch qualifying letter you received from the student’s school (if applicable) or the first page of your most recent federal tax statement.
For Summer Session: There are two ways to apply for financial aid:
- For Minnesota residents who qualify for free or reduced lunch: You are eligible to apply for the Summer Academic Enrichment Grant offered by the MN Department of Higher Education. You will need to complete the Summer Academic Enrichment Grant Form. You will need to include a copy of the free/reduced lunch qualifying letter you received from the student’s school in the fall.
- If you do not qualify for free or reduced lunch: You can apply for financial aid through the MITY giving program. Complete this financial aid form. You will need to include the first page of your most recent federal tax statement.

Refund Policy
MITY hires its teachers based on student enrollment in each online course; therefore, we are unable to provide refunds to students who cancel within 7 days of the session start date. For additional information, please see the table below:

8-14 days prior to session start date | 25% refund |
Within 7 days prior to session start date | No refund |
If MITY cancels a course before it begins, students enrolled in the course can either enroll in their second-choice class or receive a full refund. In the unlikely event that MITY terminates a course during the session, MITY will consider the circumstances and may, at its sole discretion, issue a partial refund or credit. Refunds are not provided once the course begins.
