Relief and Reductive Printmaking

  • Session

  • Class Times

    Wednesdays, 5:00 - 6:30pm and Saturdays, 10:00 - 11:30am

Before the invention of the copy machine, printmaking was the method artists used to make multiple prints of an original artwork. It’s a fun and challenging combination of sculpture and drawing to create the final product on paper. Students will learn the basics of relief printmaking and finish the class by creating two designs – one for a single colored print and another design using the reductive method to get multiple layers! ($50 course fee)

About Online ExplorSchool

For Students In Grades 5 – 8

MITY’s Online ExplorSchool provides bright students with the opportunity to explore a topic of interest with similarly motivated peers. The goal is to keep students challenged and engaged as they build, create, and solve real world problems. Each class features a variety of activities that take students away from a screen as they use their hands to design and construct. Importantly, students also have opportunities to socialize with their peers through non-academic activities.
