Medieval Madness

Who were the real Vikings? What was it like to live in a castle? How were enormous cathedrals such as Notre Dame built, and why are they so big? Students will learn the answers to these questions and many more as we dive into European life during the Middle Ages. We will learn about knighthood and the code of chivalry, explore medieval weapons and swords, and design our own coat of arms. We will track the route of Marco Polo, follow the paths of some of the major Crusades, study the horrors of the Black Death, and much more. If you love history, this is the class for you!

About Online ExplorSchool

For Students In Grades 5 – 7

MITY’s Online ExplorSchool provides bright students with the opportunity to explore a topic of interest with similarly motivated peers. The goal is to keep students challenged and engaged as they build, create, and solve real world problems. Each class features a variety of activities that take students away from a screen as they use their hands to design and construct. Importantly, students also have opportunities to socialize with their peers through non-academic activities.
