Jim has been teaching and coaching for over 40 years, including two decades teaching abroad in Germany, the Netherlands, and Scotland. He has taught courses that span from sixth grade mathematics to Advanced Placement Physics C. Most recently, he served as a high school physics teacher and a middle school math and science teacher at St. Paul Academy and Summit School and a high school physics instructor at Holy Family Catholic High School. Jim has also coached basketball and golf for a range of ages and is fascinated by the student inquiry process. Jim holds a Ph.D. in Science Education, an M.A. in Mathematics Education, and a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Minnesota.
