Where Psychology and Biology Intersect: Nature, Nurture and Human Diversity

Do you ever wonder how nature and nurture interact to create the diversity of the human experience?  Would you like to learn about how chemical imbalances in the brain may lead to disordered behavior, and how natural selection is still relevant in 2020?  Through hands-on activities, student created projects, case studies and discussions, this class will explore topics in psychology and biology such as: evolutionary psychology, natural selection (survival of the fittest), epigenetics, human diversity, and psychological disorders including depression, anxiety and personality disorders.  Come ready to learn more about what makes each of us unique.
