This course gives students a foundational understanding of the world of law and explores various roles within the judicial system. Through hands-on activities, students will examine civil and criminal mock trial cases from multiple perspectives—acting as lawyers, witnesses, and jurors—to better understand the trial process. We will study important legal concepts, including case law and legal precedents, and learn how these shape the outcome of trials. Students will also have the unique opportunity to engage with active litigators and legal professionals, gaining insights from those working in the field. This course is ideal for students with an interest in law, debate, and public speaking, offering a practical and interactive approach to understanding the legal world.
