MITY’s Creative Writing class empowers students to explore their ideas and produce art that only THEY can create. Students will become better writers and more insightful thinkers as they learn to develop compelling characters and a strong plot structure. Through varied prompts and formats, students will critically think about and practice a variety of genres, discovering their unique voice in the process. Within a supportive and fun environment, students will share and discuss their work to gain meaningful feedback as they write and rewrite. Finally, students will have the opportunity to explore book arts and learn from published authors.

Located on the beautiful campus of Macalester College, EYM challenges students academically while developing leadership skills, instilling self-confidence, and fostering lifelong friendships among like-minded peers.
