How do you know what you know and how do you connect your knowledge to the world around you? Who are you as a knower and learner? How does your understanding of language and technology help you see the world? What does it mean to act ethically? These are just some of the questions we will encounter in this multidimensional course. Students will apply their interest in topics such as politics, religion, law and other cultures to better understand themselves. This class is a mixture of philosophy, art, literature, science, history, and math, and seeks to connect what you learn in school with how you understand the world around you as a local and a global citizen.

If you liked MITY’s Philosophy class, you’ll enjoy Connecting Knowledge, too. Both courses strongly prepare students for the rigors of high school, college and beyond. Note: Each course can be taken separately and stands on its own.
