Advanced Argumentation

At the heart of every debate is at least one argument.  Advanced Argumentation will help students develop the skills needed to make deeper, stronger, and more analytical arguments.  Students will learn to immediately recognize the flaws in the arguments of others as well as how to build better arguments of their own.  This course is designed to enhance students’ in-round performance regardless of debate format.  It will also help non-debate students improve their writing skills for A.P. coursework as well as their argumentation skills when engaging with others on controversial issues.  You can expect to research, write, analyze, criticize arguments, speak in front of others, and have other students read your arguments.
