Math plays a huge role in sports.  How do you calculate a batter’s average or a goalie’s save percentage?  What is the best angle to shoot a basketball or kick a soccer ball?  How do football coaches determine which formation to use?  What is the optimum way to schedule a bracket for a tournament?  How fast is a runner actually going?  In this fun class, students will build their math skills as they learn how to analyze game and player statistics, calculate percentages, understand graphs and tables, and more!

A MITY Adventure Awaits

MITY’s summer program for elementary students enables curious, high achieving students to continue their learning in a fun environment. Classes are intentionally designed to spark curiosity and expose students to new ways of thinking. Advanced learners also have the opportunity to socialize and play games with peers who share their passion for learning. Students can attend full day or half day, and extended care is available for families who need it.
