Museums are the focal point for much of our current society’s culture, art, science and history. We frequently experience museums as a user, but have you ever wondered how these spaces come to life? In this course we will dig deep into the world of museum and exhibition design. Students will learn about the museum design process in order to birth their very own unique exhibition. This course will address issues of representation and untold or lost histories in order for each person to reveal a stand out exhibition that is unique to our world. During the two weeks, students will go through the entire design development process and learn by way of models, drawings, site visits, community case studies, and guest speakers. Most of the work will be done outside of your seat, so get ready to move!
