Why does it cost so much to go to a theme park? Why is it typically more expensive to fly direct than indirect? How did COVID-19 impact the flow of money around the world? In this class, students will learn key concepts such as scarcity, supply and demand, budgeting, saving, and entrepreneurship while examining how economic decisions impact individuals and communities. Through interactive lessons and activities, you will explore how markets work, how resources are allocated, and how choices shape the economy. The course culminates in a project in which students work together to design their own mini-economy, including creating businesses, managing resources, and solving real-world economic challenges.
