What inspired famous artists such as Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh? Nature! We will use our five senses to observe the natural world and be inspired to design our own abstract and realistic works. From the land art of Robert Smithson and Andy Goldsworthy to the precise drawings of John James Audubon and the conceptual pieces of Agnes Denes, students will gain an appreciation of environmental artists as they create landscapes, sculptures and more!

A MITY Adventure Awaits
MITY’s summer program for elementary students enables curious, high achieving students to continue their learning in a fun environment. Classes are intentionally designed to spark curiosity and expose students to new ways of thinking. Advanced learners also have the opportunity to socialize and play games with peers who share their passion for learning. Students can attend full day or half day, and extended care is available for families who need it.
