We can learn a lot about different cultures through art. Students will learn multiple techniques using various forms of media to create beautiful works of art inspired by painters and craftspeople from around the world. We will build collages based on Japanese Bento, create painted houses inspired by the mud houses of the Kassena people, and practice using texture to paint a Peruvian Alpaca. We will understand the significance of marigolds in Mexico, design our own Swiss ski chalets, and more!

A MITY Adventure Awaits
MITY’s summer program for elementary students enables curious, high achieving students to continue their learning in a fun environment. Classes are intentionally designed to spark curiosity and expose students to new ways of thinking. Advanced learners also have the opportunity to socialize and play games with peers who share their passion for learning. Students can attend full day or half day, and extended care is available for families who need it.
