Angela De La Cruz

Angela holds a B.A. in Interpretation/Translation from Universidad Ricardo Palma in Peru and a M.A. in Spanish Literature from the University of Northern Iowa. She is fluent in English, French, and Spanish. Angela has extensive experience teaching both Spanish and English at all levels, including specialized instruction in Business Spanish in Lima-Peru and for U.S. military personnel at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California. She has led international student trips to Costa Rica and France and has served as a staff member in the Concordia Language Villages Spanish program. A unique aspect of Angela’s teaching philosophy is to embrace common speaking errors which play a crucial role in the process of developing speaking skills. Currently, she serves as a Spanish professor at Saint Paul College.
