Bring favorite worlds to life as students design and 3D print custom characters inspired by Star Wars, Nintendo, Pokémon, and Dungeons & Dragons using TinkerCAD and SimLab. Students will create heroes, creatures, monsters, dragons, and collectible figures while learning real 3D modeling skills such as shaping, scaling, and preparing designs for printing. While prints are running, students enjoy themed design challenges and creative game activities connected to their projects. Each student will take home 2-3 custom 3D printed characters at the end of the session. A USB drive is required on the final day to save projects. ($50 course fee)

MITY’s ExplorSchool provides rising 6th-8th grade students a unique opportunity to investigate new topics and dive deeper into their passions at a level that is challenging and motivating. Intellectually curious students take two classes, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, enabling them to explore different disciplines, experience things that are not possible within a normal school setting, and forge new friendships.
