This class is all about building machines that really move! Students will begin by exploring simple machines such as levers, pulleys, and wheels, then expand their designs by incorporating gears and other mechanisms. Working in pairs, you will design cars, dragsters, and a variety of creative moving models while discovering how engineering principles bring motion to life. This class encourages exploration, problem solving, and teamwork as students test, refine, and showcase their creations. ($25 class fee)

A MITY Adventure Awaits
MITY’s summer program for elementary students enables curious, high achieving students to continue their learning in a fun environment. Classes are intentionally designed to spark curiosity and expose students to new ways of thinking. Advanced learners also have the opportunity to socialize and play games with peers who share their passion for learning. Students can attend full day or half day, and extended care is available for families who need it.
