Get ready to design, build, and test your own one-of-a-kind amusement park! In this hands-on STEM course, students will combine creativity, engineering, and problem-solving to bring their wildest park ideas to life. Working individually and in teams, students will use real-world STEM principles to design thrilling rides, create working prototypes, and solve challenges that arise along the way. From towering roller coasters with loop-the-loops to spinning rides to water attractions with precise flow control—your imagination sets the limits! Students may also create interactive game booths, innovative snack stands, themed park maps, and even sustainable energy systems to power their attractions. They’ll learn about forces and motion, structural design, and the engineering design process–all while thinking like real amusement park engineers. By the end of the course, our class will showcase a fully imagined amusement park, complete with models, blueprints, and stories behind each attraction.
