Many of the things we use today were invented by the Romans—concrete, roads, sewers, the Julian calendar, Roman numerals, newspapers, the postal system, arches, aqueducts, and more. But how did they come up with these groundbreaking ideas? What was life like in Ancient Rome? Who ruled the empire, and what did people do for fun? And why did such a powerful civilization eventually fall? In this exciting course, students will dive into Roman history through hands-on projects and activities, exploring everything from architecture and engineering to philosophy, theater, emperors, and epic battles. What are you waiting for? Carpe diem!
