Robots: Friend or Foe?

What if your best friend was a robot? Artificial intelligence is so advanced today that we have robots that can act in many ways like humans, talking, moving, and seeming to think like we do. In this class, you will learn about the newest robotic innovations, and actually see what it would be like if your best friend was a robot by reading different tales, including portions of the novel Eager by Helen Fox. Sometimes robots interfere with the lives of humans they serve; what does this mean for the future of robotic development? We’ll discuss artificial intelligence, write our own robot-inspired stories and meet humanlike friends.
