Join us for this hands-on class as we power up and tap into your inner scientist by experimenting with and exploring the exciting world of electricity and magnets. We will examine and create working simple circuits with batteries, motors, switches, levers, and lights. We will investigate the science of static electricity by using a Van De Graaff generator to create real lightning. We will also explore how magnets and electricity combine to create a powerful force. This class is guaranteed to be an “electric” experience for all!

A New Adventure Every Weekend
MITY's program for elementary students enables inquisitive, high achieving 1st - 4th grade students to continue learning outside of the traditional classroom. Courses are intentionally designed to inspire inquiry, activate imaginations, and engage eager learners in hands on discovery that is not possible within a regular classroom setting. While students are in class, parents are invited to listen to professional speakers on topics related to raising bright children, socialize with other parents, or visit a local coffee shop.
