Game Coding

Do you love to play video games?  Are you curious about coding or want to advance your skills?  In this class, students will use Scratch, a block-coding interface, to see how computer science can be applied in the real world.  Students will learn essential coding concepts such as loops, conditionals, and variables as well as more advanced skills depending on the experience and interests of the participants.  You will then use your new coding skills to create your own unique game to share with your friends and family!

For 1st – 4th Grade Students

A New Adventure Every Weekend

MITY's program for elementary students enables inquisitive, high achieving 1st - 4th grade students to continue learning outside of the traditional classroom.  Courses are intentionally designed to inspire inquiry, activate imaginations, and engage eager learners in hands on discovery that is not possible within a regular classroom setting.  While students are in class, parents are invited to listen to professional speakers on topics related to raising bright children, socialize with other parents, or visit a local coffee shop.
