Calling all creators, inventors, and artists! This class will show you how to make monsters leap off a page, build moving panoramas and play with light to design imagery. Join us as we explore shadow and hand puppetry, learn paper engineering techniques to create our own popups and make crankies – 2D scrolling puppet shows that inspired the earliest ‘moving pictures’. Students will activate their imaginations, creativity and problem solving abilities in this unique course that incorporates all of the elements of STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math).

A New Adventure Every Weekend
MITY's program for elementary students enables inquisitive, high achieving 1st - 4th grade students to continue learning outside of the traditional classroom. Courses are intentionally designed to inspire inquiry, activate imaginations, and engage eager learners in hands on discovery that is not possible within a regular classroom setting. While students are in class, parents are invited to listen to professional speakers on topics related to raising bright children, socialize with other parents, or visit a local coffee shop.
