Do you enjoy designing and building things? This class features a set of unique challenges that will inspire you to keep going well after the session is over! In week one, students will learn engineering concepts and use KEVA planks to design and build a structure that fulfills specific requirements. In week two, we will warm up our brains using tangrams and then develop our spatial and problem solving abilities by creating a maze for Mousetronaut to navigate through. Finally, you will think like a scientist and stretch your imagination using concepts from Not a Box and Not a Stick.

About Your Extraordinary Saturday (YES)
For 1st – 4th Grade Students
A New Adventure Every Weekend
MITY's program for elementary students enables inquisitive, high achieving 1st - 4th grade students to continue learning outside of the traditional classroom. Courses are intentionally designed to inspire inquiry, activate imaginations, and engage eager learners in hands on discovery that is not possible within a regular classroom setting. While students are in class, parents are invited to listen to professional speakers on topics related to raising bright children, socialize with other parents, or visit a local coffee shop.
