Serene Deuth

For the past 26 years, Serene has taught all grade levels and types of science including Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Anatomy, and Physiology. She currently teaches a dual-enrollment Physiology course and Sophomore Honors Biology at Hill-Murray in Maplewood. She earned a BA in Biology from St. Olaf College and an MA in Education from Concordia, and most recently was studying for a Masters in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of MN. She is passionate about teaching by inquiry while helping students discover how fun science can be! She spends her free time with her children, Kennedy and Jack, who are in middle school, and also loves teaching dance.
