Claire Watne

I am a former engineer and current high school math teacher; changing careers was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I love exploratory, project-based learning and am excited to guide students as they explore the engineering design process at MITY this summer. I hold a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of St. Thomas and a liberal arts undergraduate degree in creative writing and Spanish from the University of Minnesota. Outside the classroom, I enjoy sewing my own clothes and camping in northern Minnesota with my husky.
