Arielle Thomas

Arielle is a dedicated elementary educator with 15 years of classroom teaching experience in both Washington, DC and Minnesota. She currently teaches in Bloomington Public Schools, where she specializes in working with gifted learners in the primary grades. Arielle is passionate about creating classrooms that blend academic rigor with creativity, curiosity, and joy. From leading rich literacy discussions to hatching quail in the classroom to spark real-world inquiry, she believes meaningful learning should be hands-on, thoughtful, and memorable. Throughout her career, she has focused on nurturing advanced learners’ critical thinking while also supporting their social and emotional growth. She is especially committed to helping gifted students develop confidence, voice, and a strong sense of belonging. Outside of school, Arielle is the proud mom of twin eight-year-old boys who keep life lively and full of adventure. As both a teacher and a parent, she is deeply invested in raising and teaching curious, kind, and courageous learners.
