Do you like to make things? Have you wondered what it would be like to design and build things out of fabric? In this exploratory class, you will learn the basics of hand sewing and machine sewing to create simple and useful projects. Students will discover how to cut fabric, modify a pattern, sew straight and curved seams, attach zippers, and much more! Each project is customizable so your creations are truly your own. We will discuss budgeting, safety, and ergonomics and use the engineering design process, logic, and 3D modeling. We will start with small items like pencil pouches and then move to more complex projects based on student interests. ($25 course fee)
