Get ready to step into the shoes of a zookeeper! We will begin by exploring some famous zoos and amazing animals from around the world, learning about where the animals live, what they eat, how they raise their young, and what makes each one unique. Each student will then become an expert on an animal of their choice, researching, writing, and illustrating their knowledge. Next, you will construct your own animal exhibit that can be combined with others to create our own class zoo! Time-permitting, students can also choose to write a fictional story or comic about their animal, study additional animals, and more!

A MITY Adventure Awaits
MITY’s summer program for elementary students enables curious, high achieving students to continue their learning in a fun environment. Classes are intentionally designed to spark curiosity and expose students to new ways of thinking. Advanced learners also have the opportunity to socialize and play games with peers who share their passion for learning. Students can attend full day or half day, and extended care is available for families who need it.
