Physics and Engineering: Spin-Offs & Inventions

Have you ever wondered how everyday inventions come to life, or how one idea or product can turn into something completely new? In this class, students will explore how scientific ideas turn into real-world solutions. You will learn about forces and motion, and investigate real examples of science spin-offs as you complete experiments and challenges that will put your problem-solving and scientific thinking skills to the test. Working both independently and in small groups, students will apply their knowledge to design, build, and test their own practical physics projects and creative inventions. By the end of the week, students will see science not just as something you study—but something you can use to invent, improve, and innovate.
