Are you ready to think like a detective and perform experiments like a real forensic scientist? In this engaging class, students will investigate how science is used to solve mysteries by gathering clues, making careful observations, and applying the scientific method. We will explore techniques such as fingerprint analysis, handwriting comparison, and basic chemical testing. Activities may include creating plaster casts of shoeprints, examining hair and clothing fibers, identifying lip prints on glass surfaces, analyzing unknown substances, and more!

A MITY Adventure Awaits
MITY’s summer program for elementary students enables curious, high achieving students to continue their learning in a fun environment. Classes are intentionally designed to spark curiosity and expose students to new ways of thinking. Advanced learners also have the opportunity to socialize and play games with peers who share their passion for learning. Students can attend full day or half day, and extended care is available for families who need it.
