Join us as we study all kinds of things that fly, from birds and bugs to planes and kites and anything else you can imagine! We will learn how air, lift, and wing shape affect flight as we design and test paper airplanes, observe birds and bugs, and see how our own handmade kites move in the wind. This class will expand your scientific vocabulary and build a basic understanding of how nature and engineering work together to keep objects soaring. Get ready to explore the science and creativity behind things that take to the sky!

A MITY Adventure Awaits
MITY’s summer program for elementary students enables curious, high achieving students to continue their learning in a fun environment. Classes are intentionally designed to spark curiosity and expose students to new ways of thinking. Advanced learners also have the opportunity to socialize and play games with peers who share their passion for learning. Students can attend full day or half day, and extended care is available for families who need it.
