Food tells the story of a culture, and in this fun, hands-on class, students will create art projects that celebrate the delicious meals and eating traditions of Japan, China, and other South Asian cultures. We will study the principles of form, texture, and value as we use these culinary customs as inspiration. By the end of the session, students will have a vibrant collection of art that honors the delicious and diverse traditions of Asian cuisine.

A MITY Adventure Awaits
MITY’s summer program for elementary students enables curious, high achieving students to continue their learning in a fun environment. Classes are intentionally designed to spark curiosity and expose students to new ways of thinking. Advanced learners also have the opportunity to socialize and play games with peers who share their passion for learning. Students can attend full day or half day, and extended care is available for families who need it.
