Amy is a dedicated professional educator who has over 25 years of teaching experience. Her teaching career began in South Dakota teaching students in grades 3-5. She then relocated to the Twin Cities where she taught fourth grade, physical education and was a part-time administrator at a local Catholic elementary school. Amy is currently a fourth-grade teacher at Providence Academy in Plymouth, where she has taught for the past 13 years. Amy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Physical Education from Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. She received a master’s degree in education from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. Amy thoroughly enjoys teaching. She creates a classroom where students feel safe, encouraged, and excited to learn. She believes every child has unique strengths, and her goal is to help each student discover their confidence and potential. Amy strives to make learning meaningful and fun with hands-on engaging activities in her classroom. In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, going on walks, and any outdoor activity.
