This personal finance class is designed to help students build strong, real-world money skills they can use now and in the future. Through engaging lessons, interactive activities, and age-appropriate discussions, students learn how to earn, save, spend, and give responsibly. Topics include budgeting, goal setting, understanding needs versus wants, banking basics, and an introduction to credit and investing. Students practice making financial decisions through games, scenarios, and projects that connect learning to everyday life. By the end of the course, students will feel more confident managing money, making thoughtful choices, and developing habits that support long-term financial well-being.

MITY’s ExplorSchool provides rising 6th-8th grade students a unique opportunity to investigate new topics and dive deeper into their passions at a level that is challenging and motivating. Intellectually curious students take two classes, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, enabling them to explore different disciplines, experience things that are not possible within a normal school setting, and forge new friendships.
