Taking the LEAD (Leadership Exploration and Development)

  • Session

    EYM 2026 Session A

  • Class Category

    Humanities

Forget the idea that leaders have to be famous, fearless, or running Fortune 500 companies. Real leadership starts with knowing yourself and using your strengths to make things happen. In this course, you’ll dive into your natural talents, values, and personal style to figure out what kind of leader you want to be. We will play with different leadership assessments to discover what motivates us to take action. We will also strengthen our skills in ideation, collaboration, communication, and creative thinking through fun challenges and experiments. Throughout the session, we will meet leaders from the community to hear how they approach challenges, make decisions, and shape change. By the end, you will leave with your own leadership philosophy that outlines how you want to lead and the impact that you hope to make in the world.
