While the ancient art of sumo wrestling may be fun to watch, it is certainly not easy to compete in. Not anymore! In this class, you will design your own sumo wrestling robot that will battle against classmates’ bots for the title of toughest SumoBot. You will be guided through the design process as you become a better engineer, better programmer, and better collaborator. Students will have the opportunity to refine their robots as they compete during the session in this no limitations robot design battle!

A New Adventure Every Weekend
MITY's program for elementary students enables inquisitive, high achieving 1st - 5th grade students to continue learning outside of the traditional classroom. Courses are intentionally designed to inspire inquiry, activate imaginations, and engage eager learners in hands on discovery that is not possible within a regular classroom setting. While students are in class, parents are invited to listen to professional speakers on topics related to raising bright children, socialize with other parents, or visit a local coffee shop.
