Have you ever imagined yourself as a news anchor or reporter? Do you love digging for details, asking questions, or piecing together a story like a detective? In this class, students will learn how to approach a topic, gather key information, and craft an engaging story. We’ll put on our “reporter hats” to sharpen skills in focus, memory, creativity, and investigation. Students will create news stories about topics that interest them and highlight classes and events at Your Extraordinary Summer. Get ready to discover the exciting world of journalism!

A MITY Adventure Awaits

MITY’s summer program for elementary students enables curious, high achieving students to continue their learning in a fun environment. Classes are intentionally designed to spark curiosity and expose students to new ways of thinking. Advanced learners also have the opportunity to socialize and play games with peers who share their passion for learning. Students can attend full day or half day, and extended care is available for families who need it.
