Have you ever thought about becoming a forensic scientist? Would you like to learn more about DNA, genetics, fingerprints, blood, mystery powders, and the analysis of tracks, hair fibers, and handwriting? This is your chance to learn the basics of what it takes to become a forensic scientist. You will learn how to gather physical evidence, clues, and observations of crime scenes. After building your skills as a forensic scientist, you will use what you learned to collectively solve a crime toward the end of the two-week class. New this summer – Escape the Box challenges involving solving science puzzles and science problems! We will also do a deeper dive into DNA and genetics. Can you crack the case?

MITY’s ExplorSchool provides rising 6th-8th grade students a unique opportunity to investigate new topics and dive deeper into their passions at a level that is challenging and motivating. Intellectually curious students take two classes, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, enabling them to explore different disciplines, experience things that are not possible within a normal school setting, and forge new friendships.
