Kelly is currently a 7th and 8th grade S.T.E.A.M. teacher at Stewartville Middle School in southern Minnesota. Over the last six years, he has developed the S.T.E.A.M. curriculum which includes a grant-supported 3D printer lab. In addition to full-time teaching, he has worked with students in grades 1st – 12th in programs such as the Rochester Art Center’s Total Art Day Camp, Genomic S.T.E.A.M Camp, Camp Invention, Zumbro Education District’s Gifted and Talented Day Camp, and the Minnesota Institute for Talented Youth. Kelly’s education includes a B.F.A. in Animation, a B.A. in K-6 elementary instruction, 5-8 science licensure, and an M.A. in Education. His professional development experience includes 2013-2014 N.S.T.A. New Science Teacher Fellowship and 2016 Honeywell Educators at Space Academy.
