George currently teaches high school social studies in Clinton, Wisconsin. Previously he taught middle and high school social studies at Mounds Park Academy and Nova Classical Academy in St. Paul. George is a Ph.D. candidate in Curriculum and Instruction/Social Studies Education at the University of Minnesota. His research interests center broadly on Holocaust, genocide, and human rights education in middle and secondary social studies curricula and classrooms. George earned an M.Ed. in Social Studies Education from the College of St. Scholastica, spent two years studying East European History at the University of Vienna as a Fulbright scholar, and completed a B.A. in History and German from the University of Buffalo. Outside of the classroom, George enjoys long-distance bicycle touring, cooking (and eating) the dishes of northern Italy, and spending time with friends and family.
