There is limited financial aid available for students applying to MITY’s programs. There are two ways to apply for financial aid:

  1. For Minnesota Residents Who Qualify For Free Or Reduced Educational Benefits:  You are eligible to apply for the Summer Academic Enrichment Grant offered by the MN Department of Higher Education. You will need to complete the Summer Academic Enrichment Grant Form. You will need to provide one of the following forms of supporting documentation:
    • A copy of the official letter you received from your school district that states that this student qualifies for educational benefits for the 2023-2024 school year; OR
    • The first page of your family's most recent federal income tax statement; OR
    • A copy of the official letter you received showing that the child's household is currently participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP), or Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR).

Go here to see if your student qualifies.

  2. If You Do Not Qualify For Free Or Reduced Benefits:  You can still apply for financial aid through the MITY giving program.  Complete this financial aid form.  You will need to include the first page of your family's most recent federal income tax statement.
