Minnesota Institute for Talented Youth, MITY, employs 2 full time workers, executive director and executive secretary. We also hire over 70 teachers, dorm supervisors, interns and a Rec Coordinator and Program Coordinator. These people are hired each year during the program.
Robbie Seum – B.S., Mathematics, Purdue University; MS, Mathematics Education, University of Wisconsin, River Falls; Educational Administrative Licensure, St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. Robbie has been a K – 12 educator for over forty years, teaching computer technology to K – 6 students and mathematics to students in grades 7 through 12. Most recently, she was the Upper School Director at Mounds Park Academy.
Eunice Sandell – B.A. English and religion; St. Olaf College …taught junior high and high school English ….began working for MITY in 1980 and enjoys being part of MITY as it evolves, grows and flourishes.
Special Events/Recreation Director
Steve Cox – Steve Cox earned a B.A. at Macalester College and an M.A., education, at the University of Saint Thomas. He has also received gifted/talented training at Confratute with Dr. Joe Renzulli at the University of Connecticut. Steve is currently a teacher at Washington Technology Magnet Middle School in Saint Paul Public Schools where he teaches social studies and is the school gifted coordinator.

Kristin Matthews Long – Kristin Matthews Long earned a B.A., psychology, from Macalester College. She has taught at the pre-school and elementary levels and is currently working in the Saint Paul Public Schools Early Childhood Family program. She has worked for a number of years with gifted children.
