Daily Residential Schedule:
7:45 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.       Breakfast
8:30 a.m. – 12:00 Class Time
12:00 – 12:30 p.m. Lunch
12:30 – 1:30 p.m. “Rec Hour”
1:30 – 4:00 p.m. Class Time
4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Relaxation
5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Dinner
6:00 – 10:00 p.m. Evening events, final meeting
10:30 p.m. - Students in their dorm rooms

Accommodations – Students will live in a campus dorm in double rooms. Roommates are assigned according to roommate information sent with the acceptance packets.  We do our best to pair international students with students from the United States.

Supervision – Residential students are carefully supervised by specially trained and selected resident interns who look after their safety and well-being and coordinate and lead all activities. The ratio of supervisors to students is 1 to 10.

Arrival on Sunday for Check-in:
Check-in: Sunday, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Students should arrive during the check-in time listed above.  Students will stay in Bigelow Hall, #38 on the campus map.  Students may drop off their luggage at the dorm (a dorm supervisor will be there to meet you) and then walk over to Kagin Commons, #42.  At Kagin Commons students will receive their meal cards, room assignments and keys.  Families will also receive additional contact information.  At 5:00 p.m. all resident students will go to dinner and then will be leaving for a residential event.  It is important that students arrive during the check-in time. 

Last Day of the Session,
Friday, Check-out:
On the last day, there will be performances and a final assembly that will end at 3:00 p.m.   Students are dismissed at that time.  Residential students will check out of the dorms between 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  The students should be picked up at Bigelow Hall.

Attendance:
Resident students are expected to be in class each day and at all Residential Special Events.  For security reasons parents, family members and friends are not allowed in the dorms at any time once check-in is complete.  Residential students are very busy during the days and evenings, including the weekend.  If a student absolutely needs to leave campus during the session the parent/guardian must contact Robbie Seum, MITY Director, at least 24 hours prior to being picked up, except for emergencies.  Students may only leave and return to campus during MITY office hours, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and they must check in and out with the MITY office, located in Kirk Hall (#24).  The only exception to this rule is for a medical emergency.  It is important that our dorm supervisors are focused on the students.  Because of their hectic schedule they cannot be responsible for students who need to leave and return in the evening.  That responsibility is with the office.  This also applies to the weekend.  If a student needs to be gone on Saturday or Sunday, they must leave Friday and return Monday.  Thank you for your cooperation. 

Evaluations:
At the end of each session students will receive an evaluation from their teacher.  This evaluation will be sent to your home address.
